They also changed Graphiti to Graphiti II, which is just different enough to REALLY throw you off. The screen is not scratched, it is just unresponsive).
I had high hopes for a color screen, MP3 player, and other little bells and whistles. From the beginning, I was disappointed.
I upgraded to the Palm T/X when the processor died on my Handspring Visor Pro. The digitizer (touchscreen) began to die after about two months (and yes, I kept a screen protector on it all the time.
Amazon took more than six weeks to ship the thing (be careful with the "Free Shipping" choice on high-dollar products.you get what you pay for). It came with a hard case--the clasp on the hard case broke after about a month and was not covered under the warranty.
And it won't open PDA's or play files from Windows Media Player without purchasing expensive additional software. Long story short: I have owned Treo's, Palm III's, and Palm VIIx's in the past, and this is the most disappointing PDA I have ever purchased.
Although the Palm TX with hardcase failed to operate as promised, the team from BestEZonlinestore and Huang Kelvin were very good about taking the product back, checking it to make sure my claims were correct, and offering me a complete refund (less the $7.00 shipping/handling costs). I ended up buying another Palm TX from another website, but would not hesitate to do business again with BestEZonlinestore.
I received my purchase a lot sooner than I expected, I am very happy with my purchase
This is the second Palm product I owned. A friend of mine also had the same problem with his TX. Both of them had fatal touch screen problems in a year or less. Fortunately I had purchased an extended warranty on the TX and got a complete refund. The other Palm product, a Zire 72 as I recall, was out of warranty so I just threw it away. My Handspring Visor was still going strong after about 8 years.
phone plan, or the right cell phone and data plan service, the TX will not allow for cell phone connectivity in the event you cannot connect via wi fi. I've had my TX for over a year, and I really like it. It wasn't worth it for me to change cell plans and phone, so I deal with it. The TX was a hugh step up from my Prism Visor. I like the wi fi connectivity feature a lot, but it you are not using a Palm Treo phone with a UNET(). You may want to check if your cell phone carrier supports the TX protocol. It really angered me to learn this after the fact, but the device is excellent in every other way and has decent battery life.
